EcoSpudTM and EcoLoafTM Syrup

EcoSpud and EcoLoaf Syrup, derived from upcycled waste potatoes and bread, respectively, offer a rich source of C6 sugars ideal for microbial growth and product formation through fermentative. CSR has pioneered an economical process to recycle post-harvest and industrial potato waste and bread waste from different stages of supply chains into pure glucose, serving as a sustainable and preferable feedstock for fermentation-based processes.

Collaborating with academia and industry partners, CSR has extensively tested EcoSpud and EcoLoaf Syrup for fostering the growth of both non-GMO and GMO microorganisms, including bacteria, yeast, fungi, and algae, via submerged and solid-state fermentation processes. The syrup serves as a versatile raw material for producing a wide range of chemicals and fuels and the results obtained equivalent to pure carbon sources.

Building on positive feedback from clients and supported laboratories, CSR is advancing its technology to pilot scales. The ultimate aim is to competitively price EcoSpud and EcoLoaf syrup against commercial alternatives, offering a sustainable and cost-effective solution for diverse applications.
